VPS Values: Respect

The word respect comes from the Latin word “respectus” meaning attention, regard or consideration and is exactly what defines us at VPS. At the centre of our everyday approach is the maximum dedication to our participants, staff and stakeholders beliefs and values and dignity. Not less important, we do respect the environment!

Here at VPS we believe that every person as a human being deserves respect. Every human being is different, and differences are positive and needed because they shape our identity. In a way they determine who we are but the most important aspect to understand is that as members of a society we are all equal.

We provide respect in the first instance by valuing and honouring every person with words and more importantly with actions. A lot of time and efforts are invested at VPS in enabling every person to feel safe, to be able to express themselves without the fear of being judged, humiliated or discriminated against.

We encourage an environment where everyone is respectful of others considering that being respected and respecting ourselves increases the person’s self-esteem, self-efficacy, mental health, and total well-being.

Respect is where everything starts and from our point of view, it never ends !
